Dead6hot is, in essence, a copy of (free on Steam) Super Crate Box . To it's credit, it adds local multiplayer, which is a natural extension. However, it misunderstands what makes Super Crate Box so enjoyable. By adding health bars, limited ammo and multiple lives, the game loses its frantic energy. By removing the unlockables metagame, it loses the only other reason to play. Looks like an interesting project, but not one anybody should pay for in this state.
